FROM THE BACKYARD TO THE BIG STAGE
It started with an obsession. The fire, the smoke, the flavor.
For years, we were just passionate enthusiasts—the neighbors you could smell from three streets away. But good BBQ has a way of turning a hobby into a lifestyle. What began as weekends around the smoker has evolved into a full-blown journey into the world of Competition BBQ.
Wood Family Q is more than just a spice company; we are a family team chasing trophies and perfecting the craft. We are currently building our legacy on the competition circuit, testing our skills against the best pitmasters in the South.
OUR MISSION
Our goal is simple: To master every aspect of the BBQ experience.
Right now, that starts with our Small-Batch Rubs—the exact same seasoning blends we use to chase perfect scores on the weekends. But we are just getting started.
The Vision for Wood Family Q includes:
🔥 Competition-Grade Rubs & Sauces: Flavor profiles tested in the heat of battle.
🧢 Apparel & Merchandise: Gear for those who respect the flame.
🍖 Cooked Food & Catering: Bringing our award-winning BBQ directly to your events (Coming Soon!).
We aren't a massive corporate factory. We are a family operation building a brand from the ground up, one brisket at a time.
WE DON'T JUST BRING THE SMOKE. WE BRING THE WOOD
MEET THE CREW
CORDIN WOOD
Founder, CEO & Head Pitmaster

The architect of the flavor profile. Cordin is leading the charge as Wood Family Q enters the competition world. He spends his days (and nights) obsessing over fire management, meat selection, and the perfect cook. His goal is simple: to put Wood Family Q on the podium and bring that championship quality to your kitchen.
JUANITA WOOD
Co-Founder, Director of Operations & Future Catering Lead

While Cordin watches the fire, Juanita runs the empire. She manages the inventory, the logistics, and the business strategy. She is also the mastermind behind our expansion into catering and cooked food service. When you eventually book us for an event, she’s the one making sure it runs flawlessly.
AIDEN WOOD
Apprentice of the Flame (Pitmaster in Training)

The next generation of competition cooks. Aiden is right there in the pit, learning the craft the old-fashioned way. He assists with meat prep, fire control, and taste testing. He isn't just a helper; he is a crucial part of our competition team’s future.
TRINITY WOOD
Head of Merchandise & Fulfillment

Pongo
Chief Tasting Officer (CTO)

The nose that never lies. Pongo takes his job as the final gatekeeper of flavor very seriously. He specializes in high-stakes quality control, specifically monitoring the aroma of slow-smoked meats and the structural integrity of fallen table scraps. If Pongo doesn't approve it (or at least beg for it), we don't package it.
